2. Website Use
You may use this website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not:
- misuse the website or introduce malicious software;
- attempt unauthorised access to our systems;
- reproduce or exploit website content for commercial purposes without permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access where misuse is suspected.
3. Product Information
We aim to ensure all product descriptions, images and pricing are accurate. However, as vanilla is a natural agricultural product, variations in appearance, colour, oil content, size and texture may occur between batches and harvests.
Such variation does not constitute a defect.
Our vanilla pods may differ in appearance from conventionally conditioned beans due to our precision curing and conditioning methods. We prioritise aroma, flavour complexity and caviar quality rather than producing an artificially glossy exterior finish.

4. Orders
Placing an order does not guarantee acceptance.
A contract between you and Vanilla Labs is formed only when you receive an order confirmation email confirming dispatch.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where:
- products are unavailable;
- payment cannot be authorised;
- pricing errors occur;
- fraudulent or suspicious activity is suspected.
5. Pricing & VAT
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£ GBP) and include UK VAT where applicable.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time before an order is placed.
If a pricing error occurs after an order is placed, we will contact you before dispatch.
6. Payment
We accept payment through approved third-party payment providers displayed at checkout.
Payment must be received in full before orders are dispatched.
We do not store payment card details.
7. Delivery
We currently ship within the United Kingdom.
Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance only and are not guaranteed.
Risk in products passes to you upon delivery. Ownership transfers once payment has been received in full.
Customers are responsible for ensuring delivery details are accurate at checkout.
8. Returns & Cancellation
Under UK consumer law, you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.
To be eligible for return:
- products must be unused and unopened;
- products must be returned in their original condition.
Due to food hygiene and safety regulations, we cannot accept returns of opened food products unless they are faulty.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless goods are damaged, defective or supplied incorrectly.

9. Damaged or Faulty Products
If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs and order details.
Where appropriate, we may offer:
- replacement;
- refund;
- or store credit.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
10. Storage Guidance
Vanilla pods should be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Refrigeration is not recommended.
For optimum quality, we recommend using vanilla pods within 24 months of purchase.
White frosting or crystal formation on pods is typically naturally occurring vanillin crystallisation and does not indicate spoilage.
However, improper storage may lead to mould growth. Pods with signs of mould, fuzziness or sour odours should be discarded immediately.
Vanilla Labs is not responsible for deterioration caused by improper storage after delivery.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, photography, branding, graphics and product descriptions — is owned by or licensed to Vanilla Labs and may not be reproduced without written permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vanilla Labs shall not be liable for:
- indirect or consequential loss;
- loss of profits or business opportunity;
- delays outside our reasonable control.
Our total liability relating to any order shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant products.

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
