We are thrilled to announce that Vanilla Labs has been recognised as the winner of the new “Missions EDGE” category in the 25th round of the prestigious Scottish EDGE funding competition.
The award ceremony, held on 21 May 2025 in Glasgow, saw 35 high-growth Scottish businesses share a total prize fund of £1.5 million.
Vanilla Labs was honoured with a £150,000 award for our mission-driven approach to sustainable, high-tech agriculture — recognised for our work in cultivating and supplying premium-quality vanilla in a way that puts innovation, sustainability and impact at the heart.
This achievement represents a significant milestone in our journey. It underscores the strength of our vision to bring a dedicated, tech-enabled vanilla cultivation platform to market — one that not only delivers exceptional flavour and quality but does so with environmental and social responsibility.
As we move forward with this new funding in place, we’ll be accelerating our production scale, investing further in our high-tech cultivation systems, and continuing to build out our supply capacity to meet the growing demand for sustainably-sourced vanilla.
